About Us

CameraCats Productions is wholly owned and operated by a proud Alberta business woman.

Our C. E.O. Elise Campbell is a woman of diverse background and professional experience.  She traveled the world as a child, living in Africa and England.  She shook hands with the Queen, saw the jungles of the Amazon, explored the ruins of Machu Picchu and was soaked by the mist of Africa’s Victoria Falls before she was 12 years old.

Elise started her career in theatre. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from the University of Alberta and worked in the Edmonton theatre community. She then moved to Toronto to gain experience in broadcasting and film, securing jobs both as an executive assistant for a commercial production company, and as an actress in films and television.

Elise began her television broadcasting career as a reporter and on-air segment host for ACCESS Television.

When A-Channel Edmonton came to town, Elise signed on as an Entertainment Reporter/Anchor.  She spent the next 6 years working in entertainment and news for A-Channel in both Edmonton and Calgary, producing, hosting, reporting, writing and researching, broadcasting to a local footprint of over a million people a day. Her efforts were rewarded with a nomination for the Mayor’s award for best local promotion of the Arts, and two Alberta Recording Industry Artists awards for best television programming; she is also a former co-host for the Alberta Motion Picture Industry Association Awards.

Elise decided the time was right to take charge of her experience and talent and founded CameraCats Productions, where she has served as C.E.O. for over a decade. Major clients included: The Fairmont Palliser Hotel, The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort, and RED TV Inc. Elise produced, wrote, directed and performed in Season Two of the international television series “Fishing With The Dodger”, which earned her three Alberta Motion Picture and Television Industry Award nominations for Best Narrator, Best Writer, and Best Producer.

After returning tp Edmonton, Elise worked for The Edmonton Journal, specializing in community management and social media within the Capital Ideas small business section.

Now she has returned to her role as CEO of CameraCats Productions, currently headquartered in Edmonton. Under her guidance, the company has turned focus towards documentary, web series and broadcast television production.
